The 12th Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF) which takes place from June 4-10 at the LA Egyptian Theater, features the best new films by Greek artists, internationally, and promotes Greek cinema and cultural exchange.

Over 175 films were submitted this year, a record number, featuring a wide variety of subjects; from immigration to the economic collapse and to documentaries on Greece’s beauty and history.

More specifically, 11 films, 15 documentaries and 27 short films will be screened during the festival, which will also include discussions with executives from the entertainment industry, workshops and more.

“Greek cinema continues to impress and produce,” said Aristotle Katopodis, the Artistic & Festival Director of the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival.
