The 41st Greek Short Film Festival in Drama, which began on Sunday, September 16, and will run through September 22, features a rich program with a total of 195 films from 52 countries.

At the festival’s opening ceremony, the Secretary-General for Digital Policy Information and Communication Lefteris Kretsos, talked about the unique culture of the short film creators and the upgraded role that the festival will take on with a budget that over the next few years will exceed one million euros.

The 41st Greek Short Film Festival takes place at the Olympia Cinema and the Municipal Conservatory. 67 films from a total of 227 that were submitted this year, are competing in the Greek competition section for the festival’s awards.

Some of the recurring themes in this year’s festival are the economic crisis, the labor relations and the communication via the social media.
