Prime Minister Mr. Alexis Tsipras will be attending the works of the 4th Quadripartite Summit between Greece and Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia. The agenda includes issues of security and the refugee crisis as well as the four countries’ cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, transport and energy.

Besides Prime Minister Tsipras, the Summit will be attended by the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Mr. Boyko Borisov, the Prime Minister of Romania Ms. Viorica Dăncilă and the Serbian President Mr.  Aleksandar Vučić.

The Summit, following those of Varna, Belgrade and Bucharest, is institutionalized as a crucial diplomatic framework for Balkan cooperation that promotes peace, stability, security, development and respect for the international laws.

Coordination between the Balkan countries is becoming more and more important, after the new positive dynamics created by the latest developments in the region, such as:

-The Prespa agreement on the FYROM nomenclature

-The European Union-Western Balkans Summit in Sofia

-The decision to open the accession process for FYROM and Albania in 2019
