A rally against racism and fascism was held in the centre of Athens on Saturday to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Protestors from anti-fascist, leftist and anti-establishment groups called for an end to racism, fascism, war and poverty and marched to the offices of the European Union in Athens, following a meeting in Omonia.

Among their demands was the abolition of the EU-Turkey-Libya agreement, open borders and equal rights for refugees, asylum for refugees and their right to live in the country of their choosing, as well as an end to the deportment, return and detainment of refugees.
