Following a very successful first year of operation, the International Ancient Drama summer school – Epidaurus Lyceum, embarks on its second year, in which its operations will be distinguished in two cycles (July 2-16, and July 18-August 1).

This educational institution, established by the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the Theater Studies Department of the Fine Arts School at the University of Peloponnese, with the support of the City of Nafplio.

Among the instructors teaching at this year’s featured workshops are actor, director, and industrial movement specialist at the famous Russian Academy of Theater Arts – GITIS, Maria Shmaevic; director and founder of the groundbreaking “The Chorus of Women ” group, Marta Gornicka; award-winning Thai dancer and choreographer, Pichet Klunchun; actor and Chinese opera professor at the Shanghai Theatrical Academy, Hu Giali; Piccolo Theatre of Milan actor, Enricco Bonavera; American director and acting teacher Dennis Hilton-Reid; the creator of the most influential Indian theatrical organization, with great socio-political activity, Sanjay Ganguly; actor, director and collaborator of Theatre de Complicite, Lilo Baur; dancer and choreographer Patricia Apergi; the Griffón Group (Ioanna Portolou, Giannis Nikolaidis, Cesil Mikroutsikou, Antonis Palaskas); director Georgia Mavragani and others.

The Epidaurus Lyceum program is accredited through the University of Peloponnese for ECTS teaching credits.
