There was shooting outside the offices of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement on Monday night in the centre of Athens, aimed at men in the PLO squad guarding the building.

No injuries occurred while three shells from a firearm, probably a Kalashnikov, were found on the spot.

The policeman who served as a guard at the time of the attack stated he saw the gun pointing towards him and the squad and immediately cried to his colleagues and fell to the ground.

The party’s spokesperson Mr. Pavlos Christides said that about 40 people were in the premises at the time of the shooting.
