This year, the European Cinema Panorama, the longest film festival in Athens, turns 30. Now more mature, it still holds on to its appetite for good European films.
Always ready to charm fans of good European and Greek cinema, this the Panorama opens on October 18 at the Athens Music Hall, with D. W. Griffith’s silent masterpiece, “Intolerance”.
From October 10-31, the Panorama is also organizing a “Black Beauty” exhibition at the STOArt Gallery, drawing inspiration from black-and-white cinema.
The exhibition, curated by artist and School of Fine Arts professor, Yiannis Psychopedis, includes works by 7 young Greek painters: Alexis Avlamis, Iphigenia Avramopoulou, Christoforos Katsadiotis, Artemis Papadima, Nikos Sepetzoglou, Despina Flessa, and Kostas Christopoulos.
