The buildings in Mati and Kokkino Limanaki, in Eastern Attica, which were burnt down in the great fire of July 23rd and cannot be repaired and resided, are already being demolished.
Following the 5,000 inspections conducted so far, 1,246 houses have been qualified as unsuitable for residing, while 1,011 houses need smaller or larger repairs. The repair and reconstruction studies are carried out free of charge by the Infrastructure Ministry, and owners may claim the allowance of 1,000 euros/sq.m. for reconstruction or the allowance of 550 euros/sq.m. for repairs.
