China's Vice Premier Ma Kai arrived at Athens airport at the head of a government delegation on Wednesday evening, where he was met by Deputy Economy and Development Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas.

The focus of talks during Ma Kai's visit to Greece will be on new technology, tourism and agri-food products. The Chinese vice premier is scheduled to have a high-level working meeting with government vice-president Yiannis Dragasakis.

During the talks with the Greek government delegation the two sides will discuss the progress made in implementing the 2017-2019 Cooperation Framework in the transport, energy, financial services and telecoms sectors.

The three-year Greece-China Cooperation Framework was signed by the two countries in May, during Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' visit to Beijing.
