An extended meeting of the political parties at the level of political leaders was held in Skopje on Wednesday in order to form the question on the referendum on changing the name of the neighboring country.

Voicing his opposition to the process, the leader of the opposition and VMRO DPMNE chairman, Hristijan Mickoski, left the meeting where Prime Minister Zoran Zaev proposed the following wording: “Are you in favor of joining the EU and the NATO with the support of the Agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and the Hellenic Republic?”

After the meeting, Zaev said all the other party leaders were in favor of the successful holding of the upcoming referendum and announced today that a new meeting will be held, while calling on Mr Mickoski to prove he is in favor of joining NATO and the EU, and in favor of the right of citizens to decide on the future of the country.
