Constantinos Daskalakis, the 37-year old Greek professor at the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, received the Rolf Nevanlinna Award (for Computer Science in Mathematics). It is the highest international distinction to date that will allow him to participate to the “Heidelberg Forum”, together with the holders of the best mathematical awards in the world.

“I am happy to have been able to contribute to the Greek thought: Greece has a lot of talent and I hope that soon, the conditions will be created to reduce the “brain drain” and that our young people will be able to create in Greece without distractions”, he told the Greek press agency.
