Within the next few days, the Finance Ministry will send to the Institutions the list of the equivalent measures amounting to 28 million euros that will compensate for the loss of revenues from keeping the VAT low on five islands for six months. For the VAT to remain unaltered on the islands hit by the refugee crisis, there will be cuts in the defense expenditure.

As soon as the list is audited, the European Stability Mechanism will give the green light for the disbursement of the 15 billion euro tranche in early August.
