"A stabilization of the macroeconomic environment and a stable improvement of Eurobank's figures, including its profitability and its performance on reducing Non Performing Exposures (NPEs), offer our bank the ability to essentially support the real economy," Fokion Karavias, Eurobank"s CEO said on Monday.

Speaking to representatives of the business community in the Peloponese and the bank's local executives, Karavias said: "Strengthening Greek businesses, particularly in the Peloponese, remains a basic pylon of our operations and it is confirmed by the rate of total disbursements to Greek enterprises. We are here to reconfirm that our priority is the support and strengthening of our clients, businesses and individuals".
