A Greek delegation headed by Alternate Environment and Energy Minister Sokratis Famellos is participating in the high-level forum on Sustainable Development (High-Level Political Forum 2018/Agenda 2030) held in the UN headquarters from July 9 to July 18. On Monday, the Greek delegation will present to the plenary Greece’s Voluntary National Review, which explains the work of the Greek government in fulfilling UN’s Sustainable Development Goals based on the “Agenda 2030”.

The report depicts the institutional mechanism operating in the country, the government policies developed within the scope of the national priorities for the Sustainable Development Goals, the role of the interested parties (local government, academic/research community, private sector, civil society) and the main implementation means, and presents the next steps that need to be taken.
