In an interview with a private television station, deputy Sports Minister Giorgos Vassiliadis set three specific conditions for the Greek Super League to continue. Mr. Vassiliadis stressed that if there are no commitments, the government will not bother if this year’s league does not continue. More specifically, he asked that the disciplinary code be changed, with the addition of disciplinary provisions for provocative statements and behaviors of the football agents.

In addition, the deputy Sports Minister stated that any Super League team involved in violent incidents twice during the same period should be disqualified from the league and should be downgraded. Finally, he asked that the security rules be changed, so that the FCs and not the police are responsible for security from the field gates and inside, as is the case in the rest of Europe.
