Greek annual inflation rate eased to 0.9 pct in June, from 1.5 pct in May, but it was up compared with a 0.2 pct rate in June 2016, Eurostat said on Monday.
In a report released here, the EU executive's statistics agency said the annual inflation rate in the Eurozone was 1.3 pct in June, from 1.4 pct in May and 0.1 pct a year earlier. In the EU, the annual inflation rate was 1.4 pct in June, from 1.6 pct in May and 0.1 pct in June 2016.
Ireland (-0.6 pct), Denmark (0.4 pct) and Romania (0.7 pct) recorded the lowest inflation rates, while Lithuania (3.5 pct) Estonia and Latvia (3.1 pct each) recorded the highest annual inflation rates. In comparison with May 2017, the inflation rate fell in 18 member-states, it remained unchanged in three and rose in six.
