The free diving technique meets the art of photography in a pioneering visual art event on the Greek seabed presented in a submarine cave of Amorgos, from 19 to 22 September 2018.

The Underwater Gallery is the world’s first exhibition where the photos, the installation of the exhibits and the technical infrastructure were done exclusively on a “single-breath” free diving technique.

Dozens of submarine sites in the Aegean Sea were photographed by photographer and free diver Stephanos Kontos from 2013 to 2018 and are presented in 3 collections that will be housed inside an underwater cave, at a depth of 7-17 meters, in the area of “Agios Pavlos”. The exhibition reception and access to the cave will be from the dock, at the Aqua Petra hotel.

The visitors of the exhibition, are offered special prices at selected can stay in selected Amorgos hotels. The Underwater Gallery takes place alongside the Authentic Big Blue program of the international free-diving event held every year in Amorgos.
