Greek stocks rose slightly higher on the Athens Stock Exchange on Thursday on bank led gains, in step with gains in European bourses.

The general index of the market added 0.76 pct to end at 752.40 points, with the Large Cap index rising 1.24 pct, the Mid Cap index ending 0.33 pct higher and banks moving ahead 1.62 pct. Turnover was 31.342 million euros on volume of 35,216,248 shares.

Among the blue chip stocks that rose were Coca Cola (+3.5 pct), Alpha Bank (+3.24 pct), Lamda Development (2.48 pct) and ADMIE (1.89 pct).

Among market sectors, food rose 3.46 pct, health added 1.62 pct and telecoms shed 1.05 pct. Broadly, decliners led advancers by 50 to 45 with another 27 issues unchanged.
