The Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise the "Capital + Vision 2017" conference on October 20-21.

The conference entitled "Restart of the Greek Economy: Investments-Innovation-Development" will be held at the Athenaeum InterContinental hotel. The purpose of the conference is to seek synergies and new partnerships in Greece, Germany and other countries.

Among the issues to be discussed are Banks: the challenges posed by non-performing loans, opportunities and perspectives, privatisations, investments and structural barriers, the tax environment and the consequences on entrepreneurship and growth, innovation, technology, the internet of things, great opportunities for big investments in Greece, tourism as a growth factor of the economy, energy, challenges and the role of Greece as an energy hub.

Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura, Environment and Energy Minister George Stathakis and Deputy Economy and Development Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas will represent the government.

Main opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be the speaker at the official dinner, to be held the first day of the conference.

During the dinner, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Athens, Jens Ploetner, and the Chairman of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Michalis Maillis will deliver speeches.
