Hyatt will open its second hotel in Greece through a franchise agreement signed with Henderson Park and Hines for the Grand Hyatt Athens hotel.
The opening of the hotel ? formerly the Athens Ledra - is expected in the third quarter of 2018. It is the first hotel in Greece under the Grand Hyatt brand name and the third in Europe, the company said in an announcement released from Chicago, Illinois. Kokari Limited will be the manager of the hotel.
?We are proud to cooperate with Hines, Henderson Park and Grand Hyatt for the operation of the new Grand Hyatt Athens,? Tina and Yiannis Daskalantonakis, co-founders of Y&T Daskalantonakis Knossian Group and owners of Kokari Limited, said in a statement.
The Grand Hyatt Athens hotel will offer 310 rooms and will be specially designed to reflect Greek culture. Pavlos Kosmopoulos, CEO in Hines Greece, underlined the importance of Hyatt’s decision to choose Athens for its expansion.
