WASHINGTON (ANA/P. Kasfikis) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board will convene on July 27 to discuss a mission report on the Greek economy (Article IV consultations), the fund's spokesman Gerry Rice said on Thursday.
Rice said the post-program surveillance for Greece is a standard procedure the IMF follows for every country completing a program. The involvement of IMF following the ESM program completion on August 20 will be similar to those of other Eurozone countries with IMF programs running, he said, adding that the fund's post-program surveillance will be coordinated with the European partners' surveillance process.
The fund spokesman mentioned the possibility of having joint missions to Greece with IMF and European partners, which would produce two reports annually.
