An Internet subsidy, up to 80% for one year, will be given to all 72,000 first-year students that will be enrolled this year in higher education institutions, as announced by the Greek Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Media.

In a press conference to present the program, Digital Policy Minister Nikos Pappas stressed that this initiative is part of a series of actions aiming at bringing tomorrow to today. It goes without saying that students should have access to and be familiarized with the Internet, he added.
