The Symphony Orchestra and the leading ballet soloists of the Kyiv National Opera will perform in honor of the great Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis on Monday, December 4 at the Pallas Theater.

The performance will feature the composer’s landmark works, inspired by Crete, his homeland, and the Greek sea: these include the first children’s songs of 1937; the premiere performance of the Cretan concerto for piano and orchestra; the favorite songs cycle “Archipelagos”; and scenes from the famed “Alexis Zorbas” ballet –all works being part of the singular Mikis Theodorakis’s “Musical Universe”, the term he himself has attributed to his body of work.

Where: Pallas Theater
When: Monday, December 4; 8 pm
