Minister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Information Mr. Nikos Pappas participated at the informal meeting of European Space Policy Ministers of the European Union and the member countries of the European Space Agency (ESA), held in Tallinn, Estonia.

The main topic of the Summit was the future of the “Copernicus” project, which through a group of European satellites provides free services for a number of particularly important applications for agriculture, health, the environment, sustainable development, security, transport and regional planning.

During his speech, the Minister said that the Greek government will soon bring to Parliament the national space legislation, which will be followed by the establishment of the Hellenic Space Agency, which will allow the coordination of the agencies – universities, research centers, businesses and the public sector- already active in the field of space technology.
