For the 3rd year in a row, Radio station Pepper 96.6 is celebrating Women’s Day by celebrating Ms Pepper, its own feminine side, with a full day of events taking place at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. Under the theme “…times are changing,” events will include talks and discussions, an art exhibition, dramatic readings, tech, and a lot of music.

On March 11, at noon, Microsoft’s Tech Talent School will be organizing a seminar on “Digital Skills – Personal profile and professional profile.”

From 5-6:30pm, a set of accomplished Greek actresses will be doing dramatic readings of works focused on women. Actresses include Alexandra Aidini, Ioanna Pappa, Anna Maria Papacharalampous, Natalie Chavez, Eleni Ouzounidou, Lena Papaligoura, Eleanna Mavromati, and Eva Kotanidi, in works by Williams, Strindberg, Euripides, Mamet, Kampanellis, Kane, Chekhov, and Staikos.

From 5-8pm, 45-minute discussion panels will take place, focusing on empowering women. Topics include managing failure; women in art; Greek women under 30; and women-led initiatives (sponsored by Microsoft & Tech Talent School). Featured speakers include Angeliki Kosmopoulou, Vivian Efthimiopoulou, Zika Kotsi, Stella Serefoglou, Stella Kapezanou, Lina Patsiou, Rosemary Mellou, Olga Azilazian, Annoussa Mela, Maggie Kontou, Melina Taprantzi, and Lela Dritsa.

At 8pm, music takes center stage, with an acoustic live performance celebrating female voices that shaped 20th century music. Performers in the 2.5-hour, non-stop program include Agatha, Amalia, Pavlina Voulgaraki, Doros Dimosthenous, Cookie, Nalyssa Green, Idra Kayne, Lench, Monsieur Minimal, Penny Mpaltatzi, Andrianna Mpampali, Maria Papageorgiou, Dimitris Samolis, Ilianna Tsapatsari, and the Voices group. Accompanying them on the guitar and piano will be Aggelos Aivazis and Markos Chaidemenos, respectively.

The event, which will conclude with a party at the Foundation’s 3rd floor restaurant featuring a live DJ set by Pepper 96.6 producers Liana Mastathi and Claudia Matola, will also feature a photo exhibition by Maro Kouri, and an art exhibition focusing on the #metoo movement.

Pepper 96.6 will be broadcasting updates on the event throughout the day from a booth at the Foundation’s entrance.
