Evoking core values of the art of dance, and finding its contours in the acronym of the celebrated event, a new logo for the Kalamata Dance Festival has been presented, along with the dates and official social media hashtags for this year. The festival’s 24th edition, under the artistic direction of dancer and choreographer Linda Kapetanea, will take place on July 13-22, with the full schedule’s announcement coming in March.

As for the new logo and brand identity, designed by graphic designer, photographer and film-maker Mike Rafail, that, in Rafail’s own words is “a powerful logo that can be transformed exactly like the human body, which despite its generic features, is malleable; it is stressed; it runs, it stands still, struggles, sleeps, feels, breaths, lives; has wear and tear; is destructed and reborn”.
