-The Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs announced the names of diasporic Greeks’ children, children of Greek civil servants serving abroad, and Greek international high schools’ graduates being admitted to tertiary educational institutions. The Ministry has announced that 965 candidates took part in the exceptional admission process; of those, 679 were admitted. The results are available at the Ministry’s website.

This distinction, which has been bestowed upon personalities like Freddie Mercury and Elon Musk, honors the achievements of first or second generation immigrants. -On September 30-October 1, the US-Canada Pan-Pontian Federation organized its 23rd consecutive annual US-Canada Pan-Pontian Conference. The conference was held in Canton, Ohio, with the participation of diasporic Pontian unions.
