The plenary session of the Greek Parliament rejected New Democracy’s proposal on the establishment of a parliamentary preliminary investigation committee that would investigate any criminal liabilities for the non-billing of medicines in 2015 by the then Health Minister, Panagiotis Kouroublis, as well as for the billing that took place in 2016 when Andreas Xanthos and Pavlos Polakis were in office.

New Democracy and Golden Dawn parties voted in favor of the proposal, SYRIZA and ANEL voted against, while the Communist Party of Greece and the Union of Centrists did not participate in the voting. Democratic Alignment and The River parties cast an invalid vote, except for former President of PASOK Evangelos Venizelos, who voted in favor of New Democracy’s proposal.
