Six months after the first meeting of the Energy Ministers of Cyprus, Israel, Greece and Italy, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the four countries for the construction of the EastMed natural gas pipeline, a program of strategic importance for Europe and Greece.

Talking to AMNA, Greek Energy Minister Giorgos Stathakis explained that the EastMed pipeline will transfer gas from Israel and Cyprus to Greece, Italy and then to European countries.

In this way, Greece is now becoming a very important hub for natural gas, which leads not only to investments, but also to enormous prospects of economic growth.
