Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will be visiting Budapest, on Tuesday, to attend the 67th Summit of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe) held in the Hungarian capital. The Greek Premier will deliver a speech on the topic “Sustainable development, health and well-being for all ages”, where he will present the effort for reforms in Greece concerning access of the entire population to Primary Health Care and the upgrading of public health structures.

WHO/Europe includes 53 countries and is seated in Copenhagen, with the annual General Meeting taking place in Budapest. In the forthcoming days, an agreement will be signed to establish a WHO Regional Office in Greece. During his stay in Budapest, Mr. Tsipras will also meet with Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán, as well as with representatives of Greek expatriates in Hungary.
