Speaking in the European Parliament about the future of Europe, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras referred to the failed, as he described it, recipe of a neo-liberal policy for managing the economic crisis that fueled the monster of right-wing populism.

The Prime Minister spoke extensively of the refugee crisis, stressing that the financially impaired Greece resisted the sirens of hatred and added that it is essential for hope to overcome the far-right fear.

In his joint statements with the President of the European Parliament Mr. Antonio Tajani, the Prime Minister described his vision of a Europe of equality, with principles and values ​​serving the citizens, through a new social contract that will reunite Europe with its founding principles and values.
