A 29-year old man was arrested in Athens, on Saturday, with the charges of having sent parcels with explosives to former Prime Minister Loukas Papadimos and to European officials abroad, including German former Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble. The man was criminally charged with establishment and participation in a terrorist organization, as well as with the terrorist acts of providing and possessing explosives to be used for common hazard and of illegally possessing guns, ammunition and explosives for illegal supply of organizations.

According to the indictment, the arrested man is considered member of the terrorist organization “Conspiracy of Fire Cells”, while his involvement in other organizations is also investigated.
