SoftOne Technologies on Thursday signed a takeover agreement with Unisoft SA that aims to create a leader in the Greek IT software market.
The agreement will be completed after a court decision to approve a restructuring plan agreed between the two companies. In an announcement, SoftOne Technologies said the acquisition of Unisoft is expected to significantly raise its market share, the infrastructure of partners' network and SoftOne's know-how.
Unisoft is one of the top software manufacturers in the country in the last 30 years. It has an active customer base of more than 22,000, a network of more than 300 partners around the country and an annual turnover of more than 7.0 million euros.
Antonis Kyriazis, SoftOne's CEO, commenting on the deal said: "The takeover of Unisoft is a truly historic and at the same time exciting deal that brings two of the biggest software companies under the same roof, changing the data in the business software market in Greece. It also enhances our strategy to further grow abroad during a series of synergies".
