Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed, on the phone, the course of the talks regarding the issue of FYROM’s name, Turkey’s provocative aeronautical activity in the Aegean, EU-Turkish relations and the fact that Turkey is preventing mining in the exclusive economic zone of Cyprus.

According to information, Mr. Tsipras pointed the need to settle the issue of FYROM’s name by changing the constitutional name of the neighboring country, and also expounded on the Turkish actions in this last period, stressing that the respect of international law in the Aegean and the Mediterranean on part of Turkey is a prerequisite for promoting EU-Turkish relations.
