Two new projects, with a total budget of 181,400,000 euros, have been approved by the Interministerial Committee for Strategic Investments (DESE) that convened on Thursday, chaired by Economy and Development Minister Dimitris Papadimitriou. The first project concerns an investment plan for developing a new generation fiber network for fixed telephony, in about 25 urban concentrations throughout Greece, amounting to 61,400,000 euros; the second project concerns an investment plan for developing luxury tourism infrastructure to attract and host visitors on Skorpios island, amounting to 120,000,000 euros.

After the meeting of DESE was concluded, Mr. Papadimitriou stated that 2017 will be the year that will signal a turning of page and the return of investors’ trust to Greece.
