A wing from a single-engine aircraft found by the fire brigade in Kerassia, in the Rodopi prefecture in northern Greece, belongs to a missing airplane that took off from the Alexandroupoli airport at 12.35 on Friday for Bucharest, according to Athens-Macedonian News Agency sources.

Authorities lost contact with the aircraft shortly after its takeoff. The wing was found by a Super Puma military helicopter, which took off on a search and rescue mission at 17.00.
