The regional developments, migration, energy, the Eurozone reform and the next multiannual financial framework of the EU (2021-2027) will be at the heart of the 5th Summit of the Southern European countries (Greece, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Cyprus, Malta) to be held today in Nicosia with the participation of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

According to government sources, the regional significance of the Prespes Agreement for the region should be emphasized and the need for a just and viable solution of the Cyprus problem without warranties and occupation troops.

Regarding immigration, the Prime Minister is expected to emphasize the need for a European collective solution on the basis of co-responsibility and solidarity, with respect to international law.
