Greek PM Alexis Tsipras is visiting Poland in order to attend the crucial NATO summit in Warsaw. The summit’s main agenda is the deployment of NATO troops in the Baltic States. Russia has already made it clear that such a move will be considered as a threat.

The Greek Premier will meet with US President Barack Obama, on the sidelines of the summit. It is understood that the half-hour meeting will take place at the US President’s initiative. Main topics to be discussed are the Greek bailout programme and the national debt, the status quo in Europe after Brexit, the refugee crisis and other issues of regional security.

Alexis Tsipras is accompanied by National Defence minister Panos Kammenos and Foreign Affairs minister, Nikos Kotzias.
