All five companies awarded a nationwide general content television broadcasting licence on Thursday paid the first installment of the amount due into state coffers.

The five broadcasters to receive the 10-year licences, selected through a tender process, were: Epsilon TV, SKAI, ANT1, Alpha and Star.

Each company must pay a total of 35 million euros for its licence, split into 10 equal installments of 3.5 million euros.
