Jewelry, ceramics, clothing and clothing accessories, handcrafted contemporary and traditional furniture, small ornaments, crafted by creators of seven Mediterranean cities under the research program Medneta (www.medneta.eu), will be hosted at the Museum of the City of Athens from 21 / 12.
Two technicians and two designers from every city -Valencia, Florence, Palermo, Tunis, Beirut, Hebron and Athens-met and created shared objects inspired by the history and tradition of the Mediterranean.
The Medneta is one of the 95 projects implemented under the “Mediterranean Sea 2007-2013” Program, funded for the most part by the European Union through the “European Neighbourhood and Partnership Relations 2007-2013”.
The aim of Medneta is to strengthen the cross-border cultural dialogue and cooperation among many participants in order to promote creativity in arts, crafts and design, as a means of regenerating communities living in historical cities of the Mediterranean region.
