The 4th “Beyond Borders” International Documentary Festival returns for another year aiming to aim to “bring people to Kastellorizo and transport Kastellorizo to the world!”
From August 25th to September 1st, the festival will be a meeting point for acclaimed filmmakers of historical and sociopolitical documentaries as well as for the people of the arts and letters from Greece and abroad.
The competition program includes Greek and foreign documentaries of high artistic standards such as: “The Greek of the Russian Empire” (Russia), HAMADA (Sweden, Norway, Germany), “A woman captured” (Hungary) “Our Territory” (Belgium, Italy), “Time to Leave” (Turkey), “To the Living”, “Fatherland”, “Deep Roots”, (France), “Hugo Blanco: Deep River” (Peru), “The Silence of Others”, “Nowhere” (Spain), “The Olden Heralds” (Cuba), “Children Below Deck” (Austria), “Roots”, “The Forgotten Past”, “Tokei Maru”, “The Second Chance”, “I Itsai Romni” and “One Life “(Greece). The University of New York will be the honoured institute and BBC4 the honoured media for this year.
Both kids and adults will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of cultural events during the “Beyond the Borders” festival.
