Bolivia’s President, Evo Morales, is visiting Greece and was received today by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at the Maximos Mansion.

Mr. Morales expressed his excitement for having visited the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum earlier, and noted that democracy was born in Athens and thanked the Greek people and Mr. Tsipras for the struggles they have given today for Democracy. Bolivia is a distant country, but we are linked by common values, struggles and ideals, said the Greek Prime Minister, welcoming the President of Bolivia.

Mr Tsipras referred to the struggles for democracy and social justice in Bolivia and stressed that today it is more necessary than ever, to “all join the thread of the common struggle of peoples against all forms of oppression and totalitarianism.”
