The big fire that broke out on Wednesday in Kechries, Corinth, continues to burn in several dispersed pockets along a wide perimeter of 30 km.

There are 236 firefighters operating in the area with 54 vehicles, while four aircrafts and four helicopters are operating from the air.

For security reasons, eight settlements and a camp have already been evacuated, with a total population of about 4,000 people.

So far, olive and raisin crops have suffered major damages.
