Experts are concerned about the new spread of the coronavirus throughout the country from “orphan” and imported cases, as well as the rise in cases in Attica.

The National Public Health Organization (EODY) reported 35 new coronavirus cases on Monday. Of these, 9 are imported (4 were diagnosed at the entrance gates and 5 came forward voluntarily).

The remaining 26 domestic cases are: 17 in Attica, 2 in Thessaloniki, Kavala, Achaia and one in Magnesia, Halkidiki and Boeotia.

The total number of cases now is at 4,227, while the number of victims rests at 202, as no new deaths were registered.

Government spokesman Stelios Petsas said that the possibility of making masks mandatory in other enclosed spaces, such as shops and churches, is still on the table. He also reiterated that the virus is here and citizens should not be complacent.
