European Union’s Health Ministers met for emergency talks regarding COVID-19, on Thursday, in Brussels.

The Member States have agreed on a common policy against the crisis, as well as the strengthening of international co-operation.

During his speech, Greek Minister of Health, Vassilis Kikilias, put forward a proposal for a digital coordination of EU member states through an e-platform dedicated to COVID-19 scientific data and solutions, that can be exchanged directly between the member states for the better treatment of the situation.

Mr. Kikilias clarified that the platform’s data will be accessible only by the crisis management teams of each country to ensure the protection of patients’ personal data.
