In today’s briefing on the course of the coronavirus pandemic in Greece, the Ministry of Health representative and infectious diseases specialist Dimitris Hatzigeorgiou, reported 15 new cases which brings the total number to 2,834.

Of these, 616 (21.7%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,466 (51.7%) are related to an already known case.

There has been one death in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 163. The average age of the deceased patients was 75 years and 93.9% had an underlying health issue and / or were 70 years and over.

Twenty-two people, of an average age of 72 remain intubated, while 95.5% have an underlying health issue and / or are aged 70 and over.

90 patients have been discharged from the ICUs, while a total of 128,525 clinical tests have been carried out so far.
