During his meeting with the infectious disease specialists, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to make decisions regarding the possible implementation of new measures, following the surge of coronavirus cases recorded yesterday in the country.

Of the 372 new cases, 133 were registered in Attica, while 114 in a cannery in Giannitsa.

Professor of Epidemiology Athena Linou told ERT that the use of masks throughout Greece must be decided immediately. Ms. Linou stressed that public transport itineraries should be more frequent and that trains, buses and especially schools should be disinfected more frequently.

Referring to the opening of the schools on Monday 14/09, she reiterated that class sizes should be reduced down to 15 children maximum per class, while each class should be divided up even if the educational process is reduced.
