A total of 743 coronavirus cases are confirmed so far, according to the information provided by infectious diseases professor Sotiris Tsiodras at the daily briefing.
The number of fatalities is now 20, while the average age of the deceased patients is 75 years old.
As Mr. Tsiodras said, 134 patients are being treated at the referral hospitals, with 45 are in Intensive Care Units. Most of these patients have an underlying medical condition. 32 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
Mr. Tsiodras also stressed that it is important for those who stay at home to be in daily contact with their doctor, especially if they have an underlying health issue, and he mentioned a case of a young woman in northern Greece who died at home, was subsequently diagnosed with coronavirus and had an underlying medical condition.
