In today’s briefing on the course of the coronavirus pandemic in Greece, the representative of the Ministry of Health and infectious disease specialist Dimitris Hatzigeorgiou, reported 2 new cases, bringing the total number to 2,878.
Of these, 626 (21.8%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,635 (56.8%) are related to an already known case.
No deaths occured in the last 24 hours, thus the total number of victims rests at 171. The median age of the deceased was 76 years and 94.7% of them had an underlying health issue and / or were 70 years and over.
Nineteen people remain intubated, with an average age of 70 years, while 82.4% of them have an underlying health issue and / or are aged 70 and over.
100 patients have been discharged from the ICUs, while a total of 153,963 clinical tests have been performed so far.
