The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken an act  for the new Turkish Navtex for investigations of the Turkish oceanographic ship Cesme, as the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexandros Papaioannou, stated during today’s regular briefing of the diplomatic editors.

As  Mr. Papaioannou pointed out, the “ demarcate” has already forwarded by the Greek embassy in Ankara and then a written verbal announcement will be made.

He even stressed that “Navtex itself is irregular, as the Smyrna station does not have the authority to issue Navtex for this area”, while he characterized this move of the Turkish side as “unnecessary”.
